It's a childish thing to do.

What ever happened to freedom of speech.

If you dont like what anyone says ignore them. They will soon move on if they dont get the shock reaction and attention they are seeking.

Its a power thing for certain individuals on here.Large egos !!Never wrong , why was my phone number and address allowed to be posted on and no action taken against the culprit. Its great when your 9 year old son gets abusive phone calls from members of this board !Oscar banned ? of course he is , he never filled his applicastion to join the clique.(rulez)

    Ode to mr X,

    When I was 7
    They said I was strange
I noticed that my eyes and hair weren't the same
I asked my parents if I was OK
    They said you're more beautiful
And that's the way they show they wish
    They had your smile
So my confidence was up for a while
I got real comfortable with my own style
I knew that they were only jealous cos.......

    People are all the same
And we only get judged by what we do
    My personality reflects me
    And if I'm ugly then
    So are you
    So are you.

    Dear Dirk,

There was a time when I felt like I cared
That I was shorter than everyone there
People made me feel like life was unfair
And I did things that made me ashamed
Cos I didn't know my body would change
I grew taller than them in more ways
But there will always be the one who will say
Something bad to make them feel great........

    People are all the same
And we only get judged by what we do
    My personality reflects me
    And if I'm ugly then
    So are you
    So are you.

    who's the daddy?

    sorry X, didn't see it.

My opinion is that they should have been banned for it because everybody knows there is a line and posting that is clearly crossing that line.

Just to be nosey, who was it?

    Depends what it is.

As I said, freedom of speech comes with responsibility, If, in utilising your "right" of free speech, you are impinging on another's rights, then you have overstepped the bounds of reasonable free speech.
As far as an internet bulletin board is concerned, certain rules of use are laid down, if the owners of the site think you have broken those rules then they can ban you, it is their site. As happened before, owners of a site can be held responsible for libellous comments on a board, therefore they have a right to ban people.
Similarly of people are just flaming the board with rubbish - they are breaking those rules.

    a load of tosh

Where are the "certain rules" that have been "laid down"? ..and what's all that about freedom of speech and impinging on another person's "rights". We don't have a bill of rights or even a written constitution in this country. It's all about what is acceptable to a particular community that counts. Seems to me that the banning of oscar was just about valid as he said unacceptable things but as for OH.DONNY.BOY? Maybe we are getting less tolerant - and it seems not to have worked anyway so looks like we'll be stuck with the prat for a while longer!

"We don't have a bill of rights or even a written constitution in this country."

So, therefore, why do assume a right to free speech?

    RE: a load of tosh

I don't (see my post a couple above this one). Nobody has a "right" to say whatever they like in any society without expecting to have some sanction or admonishment. What is acceptable changes all the time as well.
That doesn't mean that we can't try to allow as much freedom as possible.
