Another strange one. Discredit him? Apologies if he’s a personal friend or a relative but it’s only an observation. Wilder got the cup run and within one game of the Playoffs after a fairly poor start. I’ve hardly lambasted him as useless.

There’s a lot of people, if you take outside of the BBS in to account, that are suddenly on a promotion train with Warnock at the helm. I’m also not sure he’d have the time to be getting involved in getting the best deals for players departing. Possibly though.

No i agree. It was in context of people suggesting other candidates are better because they’re ‘long term’. My personal view would be that it feels unlikely any manager would be with us for more than 2 seasons, any time soon. They’ll either do well and leave, or fail and get sacked. I’ve got no problem with 1 season/rolling contracts

He's certainly not friend or family as you probably already know but I do find it slightly worrying that for someone that's as closely connected to the club that you are that you are so obsessive with trying to prove a point. Like when you were defending Poya as an up and coming coach who'd come through a rigorous interview process to get the job and deserved respect yet your very reluctant to give it to a coach that has a far better CV.
    Seems baffling to me.

Because of his age he's obviously not the long term option like you say and I agree that player contracts are a gamble too but I think that we are in a needs must short term situation and don't over think about it to stabilise which Neil might be the best man to do.

I think he could have been useful as a short term fix last season but not in a rebuilding capacity that’s needed

I don't 'probably already know' at all mate. You're Dodgey Defence off the BBS. He could be your Uncle or old school mate.

I haven't disrespected Neil Warnock. I've just said I don't think he's what we need. I didn't think Poya was what we needed, but it was a rigorous process, and he was up and coming and well thought of. I thought ht deserved more respect than some of the comments that came his way, but I also wanted him sacked after Luton away. I think Neil Warnock has been a fantastic manager in his career, unrivalled in some ways, but I don't particularly fancy him for this job - for a lot of the points I've raised in other posts.

If you find that baffling then so be it.
