Nardiello isnt fit just yet to start a match, if you look at him you can see he's carrying a bit of extra weight too. With his injury record and obvious importance to us Ritchie is taking a sensible longer term view rather than rushing him back.

    Ok mate...

Its just that the 'nads wasn't signed by Ritchie debate' has cropped up a boat load of times recently.</p>

    Honest, but not good enough

ditto Reid. harsh reality am afraid, trying hard only gets you so far, quality, pace, technique in Championship can make you look daft. Richards misses too many good chances and Reid is too slow, Leeds 2nd goal case in point.

I have to agree. TW and DN deserve their starting place. I'd be intrigued to know who would have been dropped if Lucketti could have been persuaded to come in.

Reid. Weak link on Saturday, for my money.

Kay was superb. Overall, I don't think the defence were helped by Howard and Togwell sitting so deep. Got in the way and left no real outlet, so it was sky the ball and watch it come back.

I think the problems in defence were cause by our midfield. With having 2 wide players we can sometimed get overrun in the middle, especially if either Toggers or Howardy get pulled into the back line to help out, then if the ball hets knocked back or is half cleared it gets picked up and we are straight back on the defensive again.

Certainly looked that way for the majority of the first half. A little more composure would have helped. In the second half we actually made use of the wide men from deep and got into the game.

Still, Ritchie's head tennis coaching came in handy at least.

First goal, tommy wright stood watching, and he knew it as well.
Second goal, reid miles away from him. Devaney cocked up, should have just got rid, but once the ball came into the middle, he had time to control it, turn and shoot. Reid was nowhere near. We give far too much time and space to the opposition in the box. We need to drill it into the whole team, not just defenders, to keep tight to the man they are marking.
