Take a look at our curent strikers... Hungarians - both wanted Hayes - frozen out Nardi - wants to leave Richards - told he's surplus to requirements Coulson - vanished back into the reserves Jarman - nowhere Joynes - out on loan hardly leaves us in the greatest of positions does it?
It is him and it's his space hence the name "my space" to say what he likes, whether you agree with it or not. Just because he's a footballer doesn't take away his freedom of speech.

For balance... ... what he says to his cousin (albeit on a public message board) is not necessarily what he'd want everyone to know, assuming its true. For example, "I've asked to leave" might actually be more like "Mr Davey if I am not in the squad there's no point me staying".
If he stated publicly (say to the star) that he'd asked to leave that's one thing- but saying so on MySpace doesn't have the same meaning imho.
To be fair- he needed to up his game anyway- so if he's not willing to stand dropping for one match perhaps it is time for him to leave. 2 goals all season isn't exactly a good return for a striker, so if he's not up for fighting for his place he may as well put in a transfer request.

My space does exactly what it says on the tin it's "my space" or in this instance his space to air his opinions, what's on his mind, etc. I don't think he's doing anything wrong there. I agree a bit of competition won't do him any harm, but, unfortunately it's gone further than that now.
I thought it was customary to hand a transfer request to the manager rather than post it up on my space!
RE: My space does exactly what it says on the tin If the comments are true, then I think he should be more careful with what he puts in the public domain.
RE: I thought it was customary to hand a transfer request to the manager Very few players hand in transfer requests as under League regulations they lose the right to any signing on fees due.
A few questions for you big lad: "The buck always stops at the manager but its not the manager who is making basic school boy errors or strolling round the field looking as if they can't be bothered" I'm sorry, cocker, but a coach is a coach ... a Manager, on the other hand, is paid to not only select the team / formation - but to motivate the players. If they "can't be bothered" then whose fault is it other than Davey? (and don't say "the players", before you start). "What this team is crying out for now is a complete back four in place. Why Davey thinks we can survive with a back 4 which lets a player run rings round tree them without even attempting a tackle is beyond Johnnys comprehension." Apart from you refering to yourself in the third person, again, which highlights some serious mental issues you obviously have ... why do you think we haven't signed a centre half? My opinion is that we are working with a budget of zero, but you may have some inside information that us lot "outside the game" don't have. I'd also like to point out that I found your posts about your coaching experiences over the weekend quite interesting. Seriously.
RE: If it is the way a few of the players feel Ive heard that Howard, Hassel (and another key player, cant remember now) are very close to signing new contracts (like this week).
I dont think thats the feeling in the squad either although it does sound like team spirit is not what it was under AR

RE: A few questions for you big lad: If you had seen my posts over the weekend you would have read me saying I was becoming very concerned about Daveys fixation with the midfield when we need a completely new back four.
(casualty)
