Wasn’t my take on it. I thought it was a case of ‘was waiting for the phone to ring but it never did’. I could be wrong though.

Don't agree with the release of names, 5 out of 6 won't get the job. So everyone will know they went for the Barnsley job and failed. Plus the next time we advertise will the very fact they may be named in public stop some interested parties applying altogether. I think it's poor from Barnsley FC and Khaled makes us look tinpot yet again, that we don't have a clue. I said I'd judge Khaled after the window has shut in August.. but his half term report is showing a 2/10 at the minute. He looks about as decisive as Poya did in his coaching play, trying to apoint a new coach with his questionnaires Looks to me he's more scared of getting it wrong, than making a decision. If you leave it too long you can over think everything and question yourself Poor leadership for me..
It’s still an obsession either way. For me it’s akin to getting Roy Keane into your club, it sets a tone that I don’t like, regardless of his track record in results. So say we get back up and back in “the money” with him, great! But for me I’d rather we got the right person in long term and let them build for a few seasons, a proper project and the future. I appreciate I’m probably in a minority, but there you go.
Agreed. The board haven't read the room by even having him on the shortlist because most of our fans wouldn't accept an inexperienced thirty year old being the guy responsible for trying to get us promoted.
And yet again our clubs support in general want 100% of the information communicated 100% of the time and in real time. So whilst you’re not wrong…. …he really can’t win.
It’s not full circle though is it ? He didn’t start his playing or Managerial career with us . Also if you think it’s not about the money you don’t know Warnock very well . I’d like to see him at Oakwell but it’ll be a very different scenario from his other jobs without bringing in a backbone if his chosen players and working with almost a full squad of Youth . Interesting times .
But he needs to be stronger.. any perspective new manager will be looking at what is happening here. And maybe thinking .. do I really what put my future in these people's hands..
I'm very much torn between the two. On the one hand we need managerial stability, to build an actual identity and try to steady the ship. I think Duff would be a great appointment and we can build with him like Coventry and Rotherham have with Robins and Warne. On the other hand I can't think of any realistic candidate who would do more to unite the fan base. We've got people saying that they aren't renewing because the club hasn't put winning football games as priority number one, and Warnock addresses that. He's probably not a long term appointment (I'd guess two seasons) but in terms of stopping the rot and demonstrating that clean break between the new board and the old he'd be a great appointment. Once you lose people it's hard to get them back, so show them that the club cares and wants to win.
That’s because he was responsible for that plus defensive duties during Ole’s reign. Rangnick changed his job slightly after coming in. EVT wants him to stay at United for the next year. He’s a hugely respected coach and forward thinker. From the same field as McKenna(?) at Ipswich. Think it’s too early for him and not what we need right now though. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him doing well at League One level in 3/4 years though.
