Problem is when the clubs agreed to things it looked like everything was cut and dried. A lot has changed since then. I don't think League 1 and 2 clubs would have voted to not play on had they known some wouldn't go up and some would be relegated. The vote has back fired. I genuinely think had the EFL not been stubborn and allowed no relegation we'd all be laughing and getting prepared for next season with a few extra games.
I think if all leagues couldn’t be played then that is what should have happened and in a normal it would . The Greed of the TV companies has succumbed and managed to override Clubs, Players, Managers in fact most people involved in football . an extended league next season wouldn’t have been difficult and scrapped the EFL cup .
Assuming we win tonight and Wigan's 12 points is overturned and we're relegated. We'd probably win with any legal action we took. So what would happen then? Would only two teams be relegated?
That’s something I can’t get my head around if the rules are if you go into admin you forfeit 12 points there nothing to appeal other than you are actually not in admin which the definitely are . This is why I don’t trust the EFL there’s just no grounds to appeal ,every clubs got special circumstances so what’s going on . I’d say if Wigan get away with no points then every club who went into admin have a case for appeal .
In an ideal world both Luton and Barnsley would stay up tonight by winning and Wigan would be relegated with Hull and Charlton.
If we go down so be it ,had a few months knowing it was more than likely to happen, but listening Jim white on talk sport spouting his brentford love in ***** I hope we turn em over
Not too sure about that Marc, it might be better for us that Brentford can’t really play for a point. They need a win as much as us,,,, and they can’t be defending when they’re trying to score. Openings a plenty!!!
Reminds me of a local commentator back in the day "This might be our best chance now they're all in our half. Oh, they've scored".
What a huge night. Fingers and toes crossed for the super reds. Woodrow with a late winner I reckon. Saving up his goals for the key moment!
Long walk for me this evening I reckon. Watching it won't be any good for my blood pressure (if we play well) or my temper (if we play badly).
