The commentators last night were Chris and Carlo, the lads behind the 'Reds Report' blog. They have never commentated for us before and although they sounded a bit raw I didn't think they did too bad a job. They certainly aren't Wednesday fans as you implied in your post!! It was very confusing in regards to the sending off but then people on here have said that the ref showed the card to their player and it also went up on the scoreboard as their player so it seems there was confusion amongst everyone regarding that.
I do not seek to be too harsh. btw there is nothing in my post that implies they were pro-Wednesday. My point is that they were too pro-Barnsley. Plus if you hold yourself out to be a radio commentator - that is to say you are seeking to describe to others what is going on - then there has to be a degree of accuracy and aptitude for the job. If not, can we all have a go on a rota basis? For example, if Wednesday get a man sent off then it might be prudent for a commentator to give thought and shed light onto the listener as to to how the 10 man team was then setting up to defend, what might be the possible line for Barnsley to now take when attacking etc....... .....In seeking to provide such insight to the listener, it would have become obvious that Wednesday had 11 men after all. But that kind of rationale was missing. Instead, everyone listening thought it was 10 v 10 for Lord knows how long. If they'd belly laughed at their own balls up, I'd have forgiven them on the spot. Anyway, they spent most of the time slagging off the ref. For incompetence. But physician, heal thyself.
