if all the footie fans that lived in the barnsley borough watched bfc we would need a 40k capacity ground.
we need to encourage fans to watch Barnsley and not feel intimidated. so what if they don't know where the east stand is , thing is they made the effort,.or the new west stand (well not quite yet !).

Our prices are fair compared to the rest of the league

Think its £20 in some areas at Donny and thats for league one football. We always go on about prices on here but compare them to the rest of the league and we are a fair club. Our season ticket prices are also a lot cheaper than other clubs so l wish people would stop fecking moaning about admission prices.

 

i think football is too expensive across the board, a mum or dad with a couple of kids is £60 a pop, but, the onyl way a club could reduce the price, is to reduce the amount they pay players, pay for players, therefore reduce their league standing, get relegatated, crowds diminish... and so on and so on, therefore, if we want our club to do well on and off the pitch, then it costs money, i think we have to accept that by being a fan, you are not simply paying to be entertained, you are also investing a little into the club

I agree, when the price is the same in the East Stand - so why do people choose to go in the West Stand instead?!

 

If we get up around the top 6 the crowds will slowly start to come back. But personally I think the home games against the Sheff clubs are crucial. If we can perform well and win those games we may actually impress some people to make them come back. Too often we are poor in the big games. Club could do with dropping price to £15 for matchday tickets though. As a ST holder I wouldn't be bothered, because a ST IMO is about reserving your seat, nothing more. I feel sorry for people who have to pay matchday ticket prices, particulalrly ones who have to also buy for a family.

Just think we should run more 'free' kids tickets like they used to with football in the community. I remember when I was a young un we sometimes used to get free tickets through schools too. Just need some imaginative ways to get around the '4 specials a season' rule.

One thing I've brought up before, is that we used to give a discount to the unemployed, so why not students? Look at Tranmere's pricing policy...

Sorry about that, what I was trying to say was, give the people what they want, good attractive honest winning football they will come. That has not provided under Davey so prices and other local teams taking 'our' fans is a smokescreen.
