I don't think Tony Blair sent his kids to private school.

London Oratory wasn't it? Hugely oversubscribed, Catholic school I believe.

Did he actually have a shop?

I thought he was one of those guys that sell newspapers on the street?

His crime was being drunk and not knowing what the hell he was doing I reckon. Another easy target.

To sum up Labour (not just New Labour)

Three administrations (excluding Ramsey Mac's few months), and three times the country goes into bankrupsy.

RE: To sum up Labour (not just New Labour)

There's no difference between any of the political parties these days.

The lefties when they get in do right wing things that the right wingers daren't do.

The right wingers when they get in do left wing things etc.

So in reality there's no choice. Which ought to be about clear by now, cos if we're still struggling to work out which way to deal with the economy (and let's face it, it's the economy, stupid) then we're all idiots. At least our political parties have concluded that managed capitalism is the best to go with.

It's about time we all realized that when it boils down to it there's a right thing to do, and then another thing. Our governments keep doing the other thing every now and then (usually by bad luck or complacency, but these days eventualy seeming to involve personal wealth accumulation), as now. So they'll get voted out, and the Tories will have a go.

And thus the cycle will repeat itself.

I'll take that as sweet **** all then,

to go along with a global financial crisis to which the labour party are entirely to blame.

    Thanks for that.

Sorry mate you missed my point. I was replying sarcastically because someone said earlier that people in Barnsley only vote for who their parents voted for. It wasn't a dig at you.

Although i do really think I could do a better job than Cameron would.

RE: To sum up Labour (not just New Labour)

All the same, greedy, corrupt, sleazy, self interested, liars, the list goes on. Parliment needs a massive clear-out and the whole of the political system needs an overhaul. The fact that many MP's have no life or industry experience yet are appointed to run the country scares me. The way they legally steal from the public purse angers me and yet I feel like we cannot do anything as they are administered from within and voting them out only appoints another shower of **** to do exactly the same.
When Labour came to power in 97 i really believed that things would change but now I think they are worse than the tories they removed from power, they are that bad. The last few years, the expenses scandals, the Ghurkas, immigration, law and order, education, etc I can say that any ties I had with Labour are now well and truly dead (RIP)

Unless something major changes I will never vote fro them again.
