Experience doesnt mean quality though.

We need cover at the back there is no doubt , but I would rather we were signing a couple of quality full-backs who can get up and down the wing.

We definately need some mobile central midfielders as well.

I am sure that the manager is aware of whata required and will do his best to get what he thinks we need.

What about Joe Hart & Ben Foster?

'Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce has made his first signing of the summer in the guise of Shrewsbury keeper Joe Hart.

The youngster has caught the eye in League Two and City have won the race for his signature.

The Eastlands outfit have persuaded The Shrews to part company with their keeper after tabling a bid of £600,000, although the fee could rise to £1.5 million subject to certain conditions being met'

Man United also signed Ben Foster from Stoke for over a million so there's no reason why Flinders should go for any less than that and when you throw in the Chelsea factor I think we can afford to name our price.

    RE: New players

I reckon we need 1 striker, 1 centre midfield and 1 centre half, but i've a feeling we'll only get 2 in, and i would think they will be straight replacements for Carbon and Conlon who i think are leaving, i'm expecting all other players who are out of contract to be offered new ones and now we're up, accept.

    Already left or leaving

    Vaughan, Conlon, Carbon, Burns.

So we have room for 4 new signings without even increasing the size of our squad.

Hate to say it, but lads like Williams, Wroe, Tonge, Jarman will be no use at the next level. Then there is Richard Kell??

    Live the dream mate.

    Hart 600K up front.

I very much doubt Man Utd paid 1 million up front.

MK Dons got 250K up front for Martin from Liverpool and he is in front of Flinders.

If Flinders goes I want us to get maximum value , however I like to live in the real world.

I'm sure he said that about West Ham and Norwich

but it wasn't his descison at the end of the day. You're right though, can't see Watford finding anyone better, just thought he'd be perfect for us - old head in a young squad!
