If their Windows 95 desktop breaks down they will find another Windows 95 computer. No point modernising.
At least the letters look the same colour so that's a step forward! On virtually every visit my recurring thought walking up the car park was that the previous version was an embarrassment. For me, throughout last season it was a metaphor for the deteriorating stadium and team. It should've had 'Raggy Arsed Rovers' in brackets. I do agree that an opportunity to do something better has been missed though. Shame. Although I suspect that money is so short that this is as much as we could afford this time. Perhaps we'll improve it when we next get back to the Championship.
I agree. The previous letters were an embarrassing mix of red/pink/orange shades due to weathering. Needed doing. I'm guessing Conway didn't even want to pay for this modest upgrade. Good sign,if you forgive the pun, that the newly constituted board are happy to do a little housekeeping and tidy the place up a bit. From small acorns and all that
I'm going to be controversial here and disagree. I like it. it's a classic traditional font, which I associate with us. it's been repainted. no problem with that whatsoever. reuse is fine by me. the signage on the away stand however, I would change. I think that needs replacing to use the same font.
It doesn't seem to the be most sensible use of funds if we are strapped for cash though. Chucking a load of money at what is essentially a sign. Looks ok to me.
When we sold Ashley Ward the money allegedly paid for a new stand. Are the Woodrow and Morris fees only enough to repaint the signage?
Is everyone just ignoring the bit where we have to save 6-7 million? If we don't, we won't get the good grace clubs like Derby get.
No, I'm all too aware of the financial state. It was a flippant joke. I actually think it's good it's been tidied up and will all be the same colour. It used to look like we'd bought the letters second hand from different sources.
I get a little confused re the ground maintenance to my mind arnt jobs like this down to the crynes and the council and not the club as such.
I think they should change the letters around for every home game ala fawlty towers….Barnsley football club..Flabby brutal colonels.
