Not a bad word about him on their forum - seems like we have a decent prospect. I hope him and Phenix can make names for themselves and not slip back into relative obscurity.
It's three steps up on the league ladder - big jump. Hope people are realistic about how good he's gonna be
That's because Reece Brown makes Scott Wiseman look like a cross between Gary Neville and Cafu at right back.
Cranie will probably go back to CB if this kid settles at RB. Also Holgate is just 17, he's got what 5 years left to grow...
Very big step up. Hope people are patient with him. We have had a lot more success with signings making a step up than a step down recently though.
Very refreshing to hear nothing but positive words from a team losing a player. Not like some of the ridiculous comments from the Scunny forum when we signed Winnall, i'd love to see the bloke who called him overweight. Very encouraging signs, and I expect him to be in contention for a place pretty quickly, although he's to get upto speed with training on a more regular basis. Suppose it will give a good gauge of who will have benefitted more, Williams being thrown straight into the team or Phenix who's had the time to get prepared for his chance. Interestingly, George Williams' dad is a member on that forum too.
He's eligible tomorrow. Which makes the Phenix wait even more farcical. Now that Trotta's sloped off to Italy, I think we can say that experiment's over and hopefully Mike or perhaps Oates will get their chance. But I fully expect us back in for Tom Pope.
I think we would be stupid to let connor go for less then 1.5-2million with three year on his contract so cant see it.
Hope your right tbh. Can't see us making a big signing like Pope who'd command a biggish fee and wages without doing so though imo
True id much rather keep connor then lose him for pope when winnall comes back he will be like a new striker.
