    He played almost a full season in the Dutch premier league and scored like 3 goals. Makes no sense if he’s just going to be taking the place of one of our players in the U23s and the odd bench appearance. Looks like it’s all down to Khalid sucking up to City for zero benefit to Barnsley.

    don't disagree. I think I'm probably just less ar$ed about decisions we make around dev squad. remains a big concern that we're still a rb, cm and 2 strikers light.

    I don't think he has signed to play in our u23s. I read it more as he's signed for us to help with his development.

    There is absolutely no doubt that Mido was a better player than Norwood during his career. Mido played at the top level in this country and did well there. The highest Norwood has got is L1.

    However, for our first team Mido was awful, he was over weight and had no impact on us at all. I don't care how well he hit a ball in the U21s or how nice people said he was, he didn't impact us on the pitch at all as a player.

    Norwood will 100% have more impact for us than Mido and will end up being a better Barnsley player than Mido ever was. I am willing to put good money on that fact too.

    Rose was rubbish. Do you remember making a thread on here about me, my dad and my mate? We were talking amongst ourselves about how rubbish he was at a game and the same night you were on here having a go saying how good he is. I think we won that argument as he was bin juice.

    Danny Rose was a poacher and nothing else. Too light weight to be a proper centre forward.

    Already at the same number of appearances. Just needs to play this weekend and he has twice as many apps as Mido.

    That made me chuckle. But then had me wondering in our current squad, who can do the best mimic of a kicking sound. I wonder what the guy out of police academy is doing these days, he'd be an amazing signing and wouldn't even need the ball to wrack up kicking sound points.

    It's the future, we'd be unstoppable!

    23 pages on a player even the manager doesn't rate.

    We've signed a player who the manager doesn't believe can challenge Devante Cole for a place in the team. That's pretty impressive when you think about it.
