    He’s also just got a relegation on his CV and the club & its fans are happy to see him move on. I get part of that could be wages but hopefully it’s a move that works for us.

    34 year old Centre back. An area where, last season, we were frankly, diabolical.

    Not the usual signing. Thank God for that! Welcome back Robbo.

    Great signing, just the experience we need at the back, will help develop the likes of Pines & Mael into quality centre backs!
    The same goes for Hourihane in the midfield role, we just need a striker to replace Cole, a Left back, & another midfielder. Quality not quantity.
    We have some decent young players on the fringes who can be decent backup throughout the season.

    A very shrewd signing. The number of goals given away in the first and last twenty minutes of games was down to inexperience. Robbo can either start and see out the first hour, or come on as a late sub to help see out a game. I hoped we'd get experience at either CB or GK to help the younger lads, and I'm pleased with this.

    Not sure about this.

    Nice for an initial nostalgia boost, but he's not going to be anywhere near the player he was now he's mid 30s. He might be OK overall in league one against more direct sides, but I'd worry about pacey passing or direct running. I've not seen what Pines was like, but the 2 games I saw of DeGevigny weren't positive. Lack of pace, especially if we do press and play a high line, could really hurt us.

    Attempts for Duff and Stendel. Signing Hourihane now Roberts. The cynic in me feels like they are trying to buy fan sentiment. Hopefully he's not draining a lot of wage, and thankfully we aren't burning a transfer fee.

    Best of luck to him and hopefully he can be part of a more solid defence.
