Not convinced on this one tbh. Feels like a crowd pleaser. His injury record over the last couple of years is a worry. Especially for a two year deal.
Conner style signing for me. brought in to help Shepard. lopata. Lofthouse Mael etc..bit like Solbaur
I've just listened to his interview, and he's gone a long way towards changing my mind. Crucially, he feels that we were lacking in terms game management and seeing teams off last season, and believes he's got that ability and experience in abundance. A very good interview, and I'm much more confident with this signing now than I initially was.
The spreadsheet is still being followed. All the same data is still being applied but not necessarily in the right order. Either that or the spreadsheet is upside down. Welcome back Marc, and get those lovely long throw ins practised.
I think hes a very good signing mate, but not sure that Lopata and Shepherd will ever make the grade in a team that has promotion from league one in mind. Would gladly hope to be proven wrong. Pleased about this signing though and it seems we have finally changed the strategy of only signing young players with potential. Onwards n upwards
Sensible signing IMHO no transfer fee gives the experience we lacked at the back last season and knows the club inside out. Just waiting for them to announce arr John's coming home after the euros
Great signing his wages won't be that of a 26yr old Robbo nor will he be the player he was but he adds experience and when on the field he will win that first ball something that was a massive weakness prior to Pines and after he got injured. Can Pines do Tuesday Saturday all season I fear not but we now have cover in the centre of the three we simply didn't have last season welcome back Robbo.
