Depends if you are the one who’s loved one dies because of the preventable actions of others meaning their is no room at the inn.

No disrespect, but it’s not something I’m going to entertain considering because it’s futile. Others can, and are, doing as they please.

All we can do is take the actions in our control, that are pertinent to us and let the rest of the world do as they see fit.

theres always winter pressure but if a third of the beds are taken up by something relatively new that’s preventable then of course it will get worse.

Go on, enlighten me. What is this global crisis, which has elicited similar responses from the governments of 195 countries, really about? Let's see how many sandwiches short of a picnic you actually are.

But if the measures needed to prevent it also put massive strain on the health service then its a bit of a problem. Because the reality it the wearing of face covering in a select few locations will do little or nothing to slow do the spread. We've seen vaccine take up on levels that I think have surprised the experts.
So short of incredibly damaging measures I don't see how preventable it is at this point.

MP's cannot provide any evidence to back-up mask usage - their response was 'they are used to send a message'.

Ireland has had mask mandate all the way though and not really done them any favors has it.

A visual cue to remind everyone about covid - that's about the head and tail of it. This time around its 'lockdown is lurking around the corner if you don't start being scared again'.

I was pleased to talk to a few friends I've hardly seen of late because they've not dared go out, but they decided they really must start doing something again. I hope this moronic rubbish doesn't set them back again.

Nothing makes sense what the gov are saying or doing! Jabs may not be good enough - here have more. This variant may be the worst yet (virus mutations normally get weaker!), SA docs say its very mild but no lets all throw everyone into a panic and tank the markets and economy again.

I hope you don't drink, have never smoked and don't drive a car because if not then your preventable actions can also contribute.

Regardless of that though nobody working in a hospital should be wanting to cherry pick who they believe is worthy of being saved and they certainly shouldn't be broadcasting their desires to watch undesirables die under the moniker of a healthcare professional. In fact I find it very hard to believe that they are who they say they are and aren't simply yet another propaganda account as every healthcare professional I have ever met would treat ANYONE regardless.

I guess you have never been in a position (neither have I) where the actions of some people have made it impossible to treat others and that’s resulted in a death that could have been prevented. Understandable that you would get frustrated. The cancer patients who will die because of the behaviour of others. Imagine a family member being out in that position due to someone not taking a vaccine.

Just like how they've been in that position because of the car crash due to speeding. Do doctors just choose not to treat them too? No they treat everyone as best they can.

Genuine question. Flu kills thousands, tens of thousands in some years yet only a small minority of the country bothers to get vaccinated, the vast majority just say 'fèck it, I'll be reyt'. How do you feel about them? If an unvaccinated person ends up in hospital with flu as many thousands do each year should they be denied treatment in order to give treatment to those who did get vaccinated instead?

PS I'm fully vaccinated as far as I'm allowed to be for my age (and wear masks wherever I'm asked to etc) but I just can't agree with the death sentence that this so called hospital worker wishes to impose on anyone who isn't vaccinated. It's just wrong. We don't do it with the millions of smokers, the nation of alcoholics, the drivers, the fat ******** etc and we don't do it because it's wrong.

Imagine someone losing a young healthy child who died after an allergic reaction to the vaccine. 2 sides to every story and putting children at risk to try and protect those at risk is not equally weighted imho. There are also others that cant have any, or more, vaccines because of bad reactions.

I thought it way back when this all started that most of the issues in this pandemic were caused by austerity and inadequate funding of the NHS and lack of forward planning/contingency by the government. Its still happening now and has happened most winters with flu also.

Its a crappy situation whichever way you look at it unfortunately. :(

I hope he's right, but as was pointed out on here previously he's not a medical doctor and has some questionable views

if you choose to deliberately ignore medical advice and your choice which is not linked to addiction or a momentary lapse of judgement but a conscious decision to not do something that could prevent you bed blocking cancer patients then you can expect little sympathy nor do you deserve any.

Living with a nurse and socialising with many they are at the end of their tether with utter idiots causing the deaths of innocence people

the chances of that are infinitesimal compared to the chanced of getting seriously ill if you choose not to protect yourself,. It’s like saying I won’t wear a seat belt as there is a tiny risk it will trap me in my car the. Smashing into someone and killing them.
