    Of course I would go to New York, if offered. You might prefer Yorkshire in the long term but when are you going to get the opportunity to do something like that again? If he's on a 3 year contract he'll probably be sacked after 12-18 months anyway, that's how it normally goes. Plenty of time in his life to settle down in a place where he would call home. Now I think about it, like Herr Struber I've lived in Barnsley, Austria and the States, and the times I've spent living abroad I can remember with much more clarity and interest than years of working in England.

    Gerhard dosen’t come from Yorkshire.
    Working in Yorkshire is as new to him as working in New York.
