    Risky taking him as a spare batter. As we will only take one, you’d want him to be fully fit. He also has the issue of being a specialist opener whereas Brook could bat anywhere in the top 6.

    I think we can all agree that Malan will open in the first game in 3 weeks time.

    Yeah I agree… Roy has only ever opened for England and his back must be dodgy if he couldn’t play today and first qualifier is 3 weeks away.

    It seems odd if he goes as a backup when he’s gets irregular back spasms.
