Re: not sure what a Grenat is matey Very true. His signings haven't been great, and some of his tactical decisions have left me baffled. I'm not convinced he's the manager to take us forward next season.
''It's symptomatic of the modern Sky TV Fan all this blame blame blame game. Also it's very dull.'' Since I joined the forum, Simon Davey, Mark Robins, Keith Hill, David Flitcroft, Danny Wilson have been the manager When have I previously been saying things about the managers??? I don't normally is the answer. Why? well I could see things could become good and did become good. 14 points in his first 16 games. Not just that our performances have been very very bad. Again I will say it, I don't normally complain about managers. Keith Hill for example. I only said I think he should go after the game when he got sacked.
Yes it's probably the first time you've put a manager on this weird list of hate you have. How do you choose who goes on it? Is it to do with how far their association with Barnsley goes back? I guess Bobby and Danny pre-date your involvement with the football club. Does Luke Steele?
There isn't any hate list Gally, just isn't the way I go about things. Never hate really. Do I hate Steele or Hassell? certainly not. Neither do I go to games and moan about these players. Often people will say something to me about one of them and I will just say, they aren't very good are they but some people won't have a bad word made against them. Today there was a lot said about Steeles distribution speed but not a word by me.
We have been more competitive and better organised under Wilson we just lack any quality players. Of the ones we have as in actually our players only Steele, Cranie, O'Grady and potentially Jennings are anywhere near good enough frequently enough to build a team around and whether you are Danny Wilson or any the previous managers you've mentioned you can't shine ***** even Sur Alex would struggle. 14 points from those games is about as good as I had hoped for to be honest. It's ok to live in a fantasy world where the right manager could motivate Tom Kennedy into becoming Roberto Carlos it's just not the real world. We need a period of stability. We have an experienced manager with a very good overall record. Given time, within the budgetary confines we work under, he will turn things round.is 16 games enough time to evaluate anyone of course it isn't. Get real. I'm underwhelmed by the performances that players have been putting in. Some of the tactics are clearly chosen because the manager doesn't like or trust the players. Would anything be gained by a further change? No. Is it a pointless waste of oxygen putting up threads like this? Yes.
you've got to remember that these same players or those same players when he came in got 4 from 3 A win at Brighton Played well for spells at Burnley Should have beat Yeovil. I really wasn't for Mellon but maybe I was wrong on that and maybe he would have been better as manager.
Come one Hemsie. Tell us how it works. How do you become so strangely fixated on this small group of people to the exten that you are unable to control yourself in making negative and often inaccurate observations about them? This, to me, seems to be a hateful process that you revist time and time again even when requested to refrain. You don't seem to be able to help yourself with any of this, indeed you've just had a little pop at Luke in passing. So forgive me if I don't believe there isn't any hate list. It's glaringly obvious to anyone that reads this board that you will use any opportunity to have a dig at this group of people, often spoiling threads and other people's enjoyment in the process.
You just need to get away from this blame blame blame. I went to all 3 matches Mellon managed he was no better or worse than Wilson. We were relegated when we failed to beat Donny, Yeovil, Wednesday or Charlton at home. Our players aren't good enough. Of our current squad only O'Grady is good enough (on his day) to play for any team in the Championship outside the bottom 4. Face up to it. Stop saying this manager is crap that bloke could do better it's all pie in the sky. We are where we are due to several years of underinvestment, due to shirt term thinking, due to too many loan signings but mainly due to the fact they we cannot financially compete with the teams we face. Even a team as average as Bournemouth have a player in Rantie that cost more than our entire squad. We need to regroup with an experienced manager and see if we can move forward.
100% I don't hate anyone. I've spoken to luke. Really nice guy. Do I think theres areas he need to work on yes. I get frustrated because I don't think they are big things. If i spoil this forum for others. I try and make it good. The posts I put on aren't there to wind poeple up. My post about Mellis on Firday was put on to create debate. I put a little bit on about both sides. After the Huddersfield game I was in a pub/bar called with a friend and I said Hassell should be in the team. Do I think some of the comments are ott about him? Yes. Do I respect him? Yes. Whatever I say about him he's played at a good level. At times looked very comfortable at this level.
You do. Regularly. You need to think about what you post a bit more, stop hijacking every thread and quit with the stupid vendettas.
Good post. Compare that with the tone of OP We need to get begins DW. We need to stick with a manager who knows how to win football matches and give him the chance to build a side capable of doing this over a longer period of time than three months. I hope you can see that some of the players we have and had when DW came on just aren't up to it. We need to re-build not only the team but the club.
How is this going to pan out? We have a manager contracted till the the end of the season who needs three years to rebuild and hasn't even made a start yet.? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
