Hard to imagine that; Glav was the quickest player over 10 yards when there's a sniff of a goal I've ever seen play for us. Mind you he never looked particularly slim, I remember the game at the Sty in 1983 , when he cam on as a sub and got loads of "who ate all the pies" from the Wendy fans, silenced by his superbly taken winner....
Said from his first game he was going to be one of our best left backs we've had in years ,started off slow but even when poor, some of his crossing was incredibly good, perfect areas, we just didn't get on end of them I'm taking it as a win because I also said Moon would be a very important player for us in the next few years when he broke through under Val.... although in my defence he genuinely didn't do too badly whilst he was here

I still think Vic will have a good career. Hold my hands up with Romal , perhaps just doesn’t have the right attitude .. I think you may recall I told you Pinnock would go on to play in the premier league in very early days …!!
