    You'll not get much solace on here, however

    If you ask Blades fans about his time in management at Sheff Utd I reckon you'll get a different story. Maybe we're right and he's a completely useless manager or maybe he just didn't suit our club and was here at the wrong time.

    In fairness to Spackmoid, he did only lose 6 games out of 40.

    That said, with the resources he had at the time, such a record is par for the course.

    When Spackers first came in at the end of the season

    we won about 7 in a row, he had Barnard firing in crosses (having just returned from his puppy wee injury), restored Bully to the other wing and had Shippers in the middle.

    For some reason, known only to him I guess, he then got rid of Bully and Shippers in the close season! and down we went.
