I love this thread as an ex clubber. Sasha was quality. Graeme Park was excellent at the Hac, played pool with him once. Tall Paul did some great sets. My first experience was of DJ Tim at the Gallery in Leeds, awesome. Managed to get in the DJ box with Sonja at Tall Trees. She did some live singing over the tracks, was pretty impressive. I could go on and on.

    Dennis Ferrer (Southport Weekender)
Deep Dish (Newcastle - I forget the name of the night)

So many top drawer acts seen over the years at the excellent Southport Weekender. Probably the main thing I miss about Britain.

Course, there have been blinders with all sorts of DJs up there. The crowd are probably more important, truth be told. For that I have to give respect to Sankey's and Nation for having the friendliest, down to earth crowds. Minus points for Leeds venues.

Few of my best nights were DJ Taucher and M.I.K.E Push at Gatecrasher back in the late 90's and watching Way Out West do a live set when I was at uni. Oh, and a set by Daft Punk at a little venue in Stoke-on-Trent about 2 months before they released their 'Homework' album.

    Carl Cox last year.

One of the best ******* nights of my life. Space, Ibiza. Just brilliant. Left Space at 8am with my mate, on a plane for 11am, got home a few hours later to find out I was going to be a dad.

Oh ar, and a lad called Hot Since 82.

    1) Paul Van Dyk - first ever 6 hour set at Gatecrasher in 1999
    2) Sasha - Summer Sound System, Turweston 2000
    3) Justin Robertson - Stereo Leto St Petersburg 2005

Honourable mentions for Marshall Jefferson, Roger Sanchez, Timo Maas, Matt Hardwick, Taucher.

Worst DJs - Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong, Alistair Whitehead, Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules, Ashley Beedle (passed out under the decks 5 minutes in and blamed it on dodgy vodka! )

Was jealous at your updates last weekend.

Sasha and Digweed without doubt my top two. Still sling Renaissance 1 and 2 on when I want to be taken back to that amazing period in the 90s.

Loving this thread, bringing back loads of (slightly jaded!) memories :)

    Favourites -
Sasha, John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Richie Hawtin, James Zabiela

    Special nights -
Sasha & Digweed Northern Exposure Tour at Cream '96 with Blue Amazon live PA
Dave Seaman & Paul van Dyk Rise birthday '97
Rocky & Diesel at Back to Basics 95 (Pleasure Rooms)
Huggy at Back to Basics 1999 (Mint) - the best set I have EVER heard, and I have heard a hell of a lot
    Sasha - Warehouse Project 2007
Sasha & Dave Seaman - Renaissance 20th anniversary Leeds 2012
    Ricardo Villalobos - Cocoon 2012
John Digweed - every single time he's palyed he's been amazing

Took my Mrs into Back to Basics a couple of years ago as there was nowhere else open at 4am (been at a friends party). I don't think she was quite prepared for the audio and visual assualt that followed. Poor girl has lead a sheltered life. I sent her home in cab after 15 mins, I stayed ha ha

Worst was Judge Jules - utter w*nk. I knew I shouldn't have gone to Gatecrasher, it was just plain annoying.
