RE: 1% 'legally' own 99.5% of the worlds wealth

Perhaps not fair but my experience shows that the top few percent of earners are there because they have worked f'fing hard and taken risks while the vast (and I mean vast) majority of the lower earners in this country are there becuase they were not willing to do one or both of these.

RE: Do you not think there is a world of difference

Did I argue with that. in the past I have been on numerous picket lines to support workers in that position. my father was a miner and suffered for it so i'm not detached at all from reality. I am a trade unionist and I will fight to defend my terms and conditions and those of my colleagues.

This current pension crisis isn't because the workers are greedy, its because the southern counties such as Kent took the option to take a pension holiday in the 1980s which now means they are left with a shortfall to make up. Who is the leader of Kent Council? Sandy Lockhart, also the chair of the LGA.

I can assure you that in the organisation in which i work that it isn't a cushy number, and you might be surprised to learn that we work to very tight deadlines and everything is evaluated against the governments performance indicators.

In the area of work in which I operate I have a lot of contact with a certain profession in the private sector which is extremely well paid and does have more than its fair share of idle shits as well as some very good practitioners. It is so easy to generalise and come up with the conclusion that public sector bad/private sector good when in fact the reality is that you get good and bad in every profession.

I do not doubt the existance of many dedicated, professional public sector workers

I merely question the basis on which they deserve / receive a better pension scheme than private sector workers.

I strongly believe all employees deserve a better deal at retirement.

But I am bemused as to why public sector workers should be subsidised by everyfeckerelse.

    I don't..

When I say wealth, I don't mean the two bob millionaires that I'm sure FJH is referring to, but multinational banking corporations that charge billions in interest every year to countrys that can not afford even to feed thier own people.

People die of hunger while the obscenely rich do nothing about it.

100 years ago the 1% owned 1% of the worlds wealth.

1% have stolen over 1000 trillion+ ( 1000,000,000,000,000,000,000+) from the rest of the world and do nothing with this wealth.
