I get that and they were both great deals. I think it’s incredible really that a club the size of ours hasn’t got a single loan to bolster the squad. Goes to show how well we’re being run at the minute.
Absolutely, we’ve a great squad and committed management team. I’m no football expert but I’d take fit and confident 22y olds before 27 year olds who felt they were too good for us with a subsequent lack of commitment.
There's a place for a good loan player though. If we'd had McBurnie all season we'd have stayed up. Barnes and James did good jobs too. I do think there's a chance we might've missed out on one or two this time - Izzy Brown to Luton is an absolutely quality signing! But overall yeah very happy that we're focusing on developing our own players instead. Smart move for our model
