I do. It’s wrong and immoral.

The article said the NHS is setting up a centre in Blackpool because of the addiction problems its residents face. This sponsorship is the wrong thing to do.

It's a town that's made a living from gambling for decades. You can't go through life protecting people from everything bad. It will have been for more money than anyone else offered and fans will want them to be as competitive as possible in the transfer market.

Can’t fault them for taking the money from wherever it’s offered.

Given how much money Blackpool as a town turns over from different forms of gambling it’d be a tad pointless for the football club to take a stand.

I had my say on this thread when it was posted.

I still disagree with banning of advertising, it’s just another example of nanny state intervention and it will achieve exactly bugger all as I can guarantee that they will never ban online advertising, and 80%-90% of the population spend a hell a lot of their time looking at their phone.

Spot on. Going in to a bookies these days is a novelty for most folks. Easier and more convenient to gamble on your phone and you tend to get better odds online too.

I haven't been in a bookies in nearly 20 years. Wouldn't even consider going in one these days if I'm honest, never liked the atmosphere. Place a small bet on my phone pretty much once a fortnight.

I kind of agree with the ban but I do worry we're edging slowly toward a nanny state. Can't advertise smoking or gambling in certain areas. Takeaways/fast food can't be near schools. And so on. Alcohol seems to get a more lenient view for the time being - I wonder why and for how much longer?

I wouldn't bet on it! (Sorry it's taken so long into the thread!)

    Nanny State

agree we are turning in to a nanny state -

Can't sell drugs to kids these days, why not, it's good for them to have a hobby.

Not allowed to speed, why is it my problem if some people can't handle their cars at high speed. I can drive at 50 in a 30mph zone easy, never hit anyone.

Can't own guns, I could easily own a machine gun and not get tanked up on alcohol and mow down a school, simple, why should the fact that some people turn nurseries into morgues hamper my gun fun?

Nobody has said they haven't made it probably the biggest gambling resort in the uk. and nobody is trying to ban gambling. They are aiming it more at the big Betting Companies and onscreen gambling companies. Hell bent on enticing folk with free bets etc. That is one thing I'd put a stop to straight away. In any form.
    Free bets
    Free spins
    Free Bingo.
I had a bro in law completely lose everything on slot machines. I dont say ban em any more than I'd ban any other forms. EVERYONE knows they exist. So it doesnt need enticement for me.
What do they say. When the fun stops, stop.
Think about that. It's an excuse to cover their arses nothing else. Cos they put some there in the first place.
Smoking is an addiction and everyone knows cigarettes exist.
The reduction in people smoking by not having it shoved down their throats, Advertising making it attractive in the day before health warnings is enormous. But people do still smoke.

Blackpool if our club would have a backlash from the fans. As in the HEX cryptocurrency.
