'There's more to life than Barnsley FC'

Yes, that's why this thread's not about Barnsley FC. :)

He ran 10 flat in the trials

That would easily get him into the semi finals at the Olympics and I would be absolutely astounded if it didn't get him into the final. There certainly hasn't been an Olympics yet when 10.00 would have failed to make the final.

I've always liked track and field and I was a big Dwayne Chambers fan, so I was very disappointed when I found out he'd taken performance enhancing drugs. I understand the argument that everyone deserves a second chance, but for me there shouldn't be one. The muscles that Dwayne developed when using steroids are still on his body. They didn't go away when he stopped taking the banned substances. Part of his speed and power will always be as a result of cheating and as such he shouldn't be competing at the Olympics. I only wish the rest of the world followed Great Britain's example and banned drugs cheats from ever entering the Olympics.

"Did his Crime, Served his Time" - No he hasn't

The punishment was 2 years from competition, and a lifetime ban from the olympics.

He knew the risk, now he should accept the punishment.
