The Annual Accounts for the year to 31 May 2014 show total transfer in comings of £3.2m, a year when we sold Jacob Butterfield and Kevin Davies as well as John Stones.
When it comes to negotiating sales and deals Barnsley fc has, is and always will be a third world nation. I knnow I said I had done for the Summer but feel I had to give my two pennorth on this. Dry loved again.
I got the wrong end of the stick with the article, that's all. Seems that there's no clause for England caps but a sell on clause. I do think it's fair to take a newspaper report from a respected paper at face value, though. But, imagine the uproar on here if Stones does make his debut and we don't seem to invest any cash this Summer after his comments where folk suddenly believe we'd have been paid something by Everton on the back of his comments about cheering him on.
Gotchya Im not an accountant but I thought you had to make provisions in your accounts for money that you knew was coming in - maybe BFC Dave knows?
Good point. Now I think of it outstanding invoices have to go in the accounts as debtors I think. Definitely one for @BFCDAVE
Anything agreed at the outset will be included in the figure quoted, even if part was unpaid at the year end. The unpaid proportion will be included in debtors if this were so, and the increase in the debtor balance from the previous year suggests it may be. Any sum which is dependent upon some future event will not be included in Incoming Transfer Fees until the specified event takes place.
Why cannot we ask them for a direct answer and stop all the ********. If we have not got a clause then Rowing ought to be shot
Hello Mr Rowing, would you like to sell me that cow for these 'magic' beans? Why certainly, but I'd feel bad taking ALL your beans, so please take some back.
That was how I understood the deal however Ben did say in a recent interview that we could be very happy if Stones was selected for England intimating a clause.
