    I don't think we've got a firm medal target this year, I doubt we'll get anywhere near London (29) or Rio (27) but it would be incredible to match the 19 golds we won in Beijing.

    Don't understand why Peaty is swimming at 3am, I thought the medal sessions in the pool were always in the evening, with the qualifying heats earlier in the day. 3am here is 11am in Tokyo, seems crazy having it so early in the day.

    I'm absolutely delighted for Tom Daley. It feels like he's been on such a journey over 4 Olympics. Genuinely brought a tear to my eye.

    There is something very special about the Olympics. Where you see so many sportspeople scraping together funds to train and acquire the necessary equipment. Who make huge sacrifices for a dream. Then the manifestation of those hopes into medals and sometimes, often failure.

    Its a beautiful thing to see many of these Olympians display the professionalism, integrity and sportsmanship that they do.

    If only their better paid peers could do so too.
