I dont think we have achieved anywhere near what we needed to. Firstly we took a long time to sort Styles and Helik which didn't deliver the money we wanted. 2/10

I saw 2 strikers as the critical part. We have weakened significantly. I get the outgoings but no goal scoring signings is very poor. 1/10

we picked a couple of players that look ok Cadden being one. But not enough quality overall. 5/10

if we do the same in the next few windows it will be a long time before we see the championship or even get close again.

D - Not sure who but a few weeks ago someone on here said we won't get relegated purely because there will be 5 or 6 teams worse..sadly true.
Agree that this season and especially this window is where reality kicks in and the true depth of the sh*tstorm of mismanagement and relegation becomes apparent. if we hang in there hopefully we'll see improvement from January onwards...

I know this has been mentioned before but surely the poor window provides opportunities for others. Iseka is here until at least Xmas so it makes perfect sense for him to have a ‘clear the air’ meeting with MD and seize the opportunity. He got the talent and it could be the kick start his season needs. I’m also quite surprised that MD took to discussing his character in such detail during the press conference as this can’t do Iseka any good at all.
I’m terms of the window in general - I’m happy with the acquisition of Phillips - I felt that from what I’ve seen we don’t have win enough second balls and hopefully this will help. We’ve good numbers in midfield now and competition his healthy.
Edwards has good pedigree and has played a lot of games in the past 12 months. Will be a good signing and better than what we already have.
Martin - know absolutely nothing about him and seems a bit of a odd one but obviously adds competition to the number 10 option.
Cundy - looked good v Bristol but questionable v very good opponents. It might be a good battle to watch him against Smith today.
McCarthy - not seen him play yet but know he has a mistake in him. Heard great things about him from fans from previous clubs so I’ll reserve judgement.
Norwood - got to be better than what we’ve seen so far. Needs a goal.

Depends why he is not part of the plans?
If it’s because they want rid of him or his style of play doesn’t fit the system then you’re right.
If it’s because he’s not trying, the he can change them plans.

On the face of it, it’s been a failure of a window. Failed to sell Styles, and unless the release fee is 4m+, I’m not sure even the extension was a particularly good deal. Failed to sign a striker. So far, failed to offload Iseka.

It might turn out ok. Phillips might help us dominate the midfield in games, and him and Martin might lead to us creating more chances and Edwards might turn out to be a decent wing back. But all of the above would need to happen for us to have a decent team, and not sure how likely it is.

Less of a window, more like a door. With a doorman that lets good players out and ushers poor players in - who play in positions we didn't need strengthening.

Today's game against Wednesday is the first after a transfer window in which we signed 9 players. We play 3-5-2 but we're starting the game with 5 centre halves and no wing backs. 'Cos we haven't got any wing backs. This is the only formation Duff knows and we don't have any wing backs. We have a number 10 playing up front because we don't have any decent forwards. We play just 2 central midfield players. We have 2 in the starting 11, 2 on the bench and the latest arrival hasn't even made the bench because there's no space for him on there as it's already full of central midfielders.

You could have dipped your hand into a hat containing the names of all available free transfers, pulled out 9 names and it would have been impossible to do any worse than what we actually brought in.

    How's that for drama.

And for all those midfielders, we’ve risked one that is injured
