Anyone been to this place? cant seem to find a menu on the net anywhere as there is no website! thinking of going new years eve
The Indian or the Grill? My opinion: Indian is good and well worth a visit. Some unusual dishes including a rack of lamb not unlike a Barnsley chop, but with curry sauce. Grill is absolutely *****. Well overpriced (£25 for a T bone which tastes like leather). Service is garbage. Waiter told me to pull my chair in 3 times as he couldn't get past last time I was there. Eventually I told him the tables were too close together and that he would have to walk round. Cannot describe how bad the place is - would not go there again even for a freebie. If you book a table for 6 and then only 5 turn up, you get charged for the extra place - heard that from several sources.
Chilli is the Indian The grill is....errrr.... Grille Went to Grille about a month ago and thought the food was excellent, service was good apart from the head waiter who virtually castigated us because we didn't want dessert or to have more drinks, preferring to go to the Silkstone for some ale!
Also If you put drinks, wine etc on the bill, make sure you count up. They have been known to add a few more on.
And... Went to the Limes on Dodworth Road on Saturday night with London Tykes. Absolutely superb 3 course meal for £25. Service was exceptional, in fact the only problem was the icicles forming on the ends of our noses because the heating had been off all over Christmas. Make the Grille look like a burger king (IMHO).
Menus Here http://www.limesrestaurant.co.uk/ We had a set 3 courser, but they also do a la carte. Doesn't seem to get very full, which may be an advantage if you want a cosy meal for 2, but there were about 18 of us so we made our own atmosphere. Worth a visit I would say.
RE: And... Burger King burgers are lovely (Y) (Y) (Y) XL Bacon Double Cheeseburger meal is a bit pricy at 5.19 but it's nice.
