They are a morally bankrupt club with a sizable minority of morally bankrupt fans so I have little doubt that they will resign him - the comments made by Clough were quite interesting so I wonder if he doesn't want him back. I heard some calls about this and there were some prize comments made by some of their fans:
- I have no problem with my child having the name of a rapist on his shirt.
- Sheff Utd are bigger than rape.

You have just said what lovely Judy said on Loose Women, and she has been slayed in the papers. It does not matter whether he beat the crap out of her or just raped her, she has the mental scars to contend with and you are way out of order my friend. i'm not your friend as have never met you. and what does an ex con do for a living when hes done his time and paid his debt to society ? how long do we keep punishing offenders and is there a list in asending order of what jobs offenders can do, depending on their crime. do we stop a nuclear physicist from physasisting (?) because he was over the limit but didn't have a crash, what about a brain surgeon who forgot to renew his t.v license. also if she was that drunk she couldn't consent how can she remember. rape is a very strange thing, its not about sex its about control. just think a guy can be in bed with his partner and halfway through making love, they say no, if his ar5e don't go in the right direction then hes a rapist 'cos they've withdrawn consent, so according to the law then he is a rapist just the same as every violent, date raping dirty b@st@rd, that's the point I'm trying to make I'm not defending anyone

 

Because in many other places of employment they are subjected to crb checks. The club through their youth system has kids knocking around. So problem needs to be sorted further up at FA and FIFA level to put these things in place. If he is to return then (and I have no problem with him gaining employment) but he needs to be made so he can't work in areas or places that cant allow a repeat or influence kids eyc

 

Mate, go and read up on the case and try again.

Rapists, paedophiles, cold blooded killers etc, they get **** all sympathy from me, nor 'understanding' or me worrying about 'their' lives upon release. It's the victims I feel for, not scum of the earth cnuts like Ched Evans.

What was all that crap, you stated he did not violently rape her. He should not have raped her at all whether she could consent or not. She did not consent and just because she was pi??ed does not allow him to rape her.
You cannot class rape in the same context as TV licences. Also if your partner says No then if you carry on against her wishes then you can be done for rape.

I think hate is a very strong word and one I rarely use but I genuinely hate that club and what they stand for. I'm almost done with football heaven because of the vile fans they have that call in (not all of them). Tevez, Morgan, Blackwell, King, the hero worship of a convicted rapist, it just goes on and on with this club.
