I wasn't saying we should necessarily be building a hotel, but we should be looking to redevelop the west stand and incorporating as many revenue generating ideas as possible. It seems there isn't much idea beyond season ticket sales.
These ideas have been brought to the table after the takeovers. By the people who have turned the clubs round.
It all comes down to money and I think our business model is to only spend what we earn so unless it guaranteed increasing revenue I don't think the club will consider spending money on redevelopment.
But Glanford Park is already a relatively "new" stadium (my first ever game was at the Old Show Ground) and was only built in 1988. Are temporary stadia going to be the next fashion among football clubs? Maybe we could build a ground on wheels and trundle it around the villages of Barnsley to attract new fans...
