RE: I've watched the replays of the penalty incident have sefootbal The way he went down i thought there was a sniper in the stand.
RE: I've watched the replays of the penalty incident have sefootbal as i said i wasnt sure the ref would give it but the Sky championship review this morning showed a clash of ankles after the original hand on shoulder
I didn't see any contact with the legs on the replays Did you see the Wendy v Weeds game. Through on goal, brought down, Ref never even spoke to the player. Inconsistency is a massive understatement here.
Strikers penalty, smelt Kay's aftershave and went down like a sack P:ushed the ball into a bit of space and ran in the path of Kay. Huckerby was doing it all afternoon on the wing, the only reason why he did not get clattered was he is a better player and we weren't quick enough to clatter him!!
The point you make about Malky Mckie is a good one - and i think that Paul Reid does have the potential to be that kind of player. I remember when Allan Clarke signed Malc Shotton he stated that it was because he shouted a lot. I'm sure that anyone who watched malc play would say that he was not the greatest player on the pitch- but then again you would want to put a foot wrong whilst he was in the team.
Another one who forgets... ...this is OUR level. Historically we have spent more time in this division than any other club and we've only been away 4 years. In 32 years of support, I've only seen us punch significantly above our weight once and that was in the Premiership. Do your homework before passing opinions on other clubs.
You're not allowed to judge teams on one game! Everyone knows that. This from the fans who'd written Cardiff's credentials as title challengers off after the first game of the season. Sounds like a fair enough assessment to me, mate. Thanks for the post.
Thanks for the pat on the head. Having watched the penalty incident repeatedly I don't know how you can claim Earnshaw was clipped, it was a clear dive. He tricked the ref who handed you what might have been an interesting game. And you seem to be the only one who was there supporting either side who believes the scoreline fairly represented the game. Your fatherly advise is much appreciated but we've played at this level (and the one above) before mate so we're kind of aware of what's neccessary to survive thanks. Oh and I hope that skanky b*stard breaks his leg next week. .
RE: You're not allowed to judge teams on one game! i thught it was the tone rather than the content. although i don't agree with a lot of the content.
RE: "clash of ankles" ok you're right. earnshaw through 1 on 1 about 8 yards out reasonably central with the keeper slightly on his heels. yeah you're right, he'll never score that and fancied his chances from further out. like i said earlier i wasnt sure he's give it, and a red was harsh, but you're just glad that andy johnson has gone to the prem - he's run through a brick wall for his team right until he crosses the white line of the box then he cant make it through the long grass.
RE: "clash of ankles" what you on about? he dived. it is pretty clear to me that he dived from the footage. i think kay touches earnshaws shoulder. earnshaw looks up and sees colgan there. earnshaw falls down to get a pen. if you've got the footage look at the way earnshaw arches his back before he goes down. thats a dive mate and it changed the game whichever way you look at it.
hey thats cool, its a game of opinions, i thought he was going down with the original shoulder contact, but it was after that - two strides - before he went down - after he ran across kay to provoke the ankle contact. harsh like i said, kay couldnt have done much - but even u10's a re taught to run across the front of defenders in the box. like i said in an earlier post naive. had he had his hands up the ref probably wouldnt have give it.
so he ran across Kay then. mate - thats not a foul. its something called a "dive" good luck for rest of season.
just watched the highlights... is Earnshaw Hristov in disguise!?
was the Oakwell sniper in attendance yesterday!?
wonder if he goes down that quickly in other situations...
talk about making a meal of it. You can tell from Kay's face it wasn't intentional, Earnshaw cut across the front of him, obscured the ref's view and then took it for what he could...
credit to Robinson for their second but bloody hell....

As clear a dive as you'll ever see. Funny thing is the pillock flicked his leg up AFTER throwing himself down and the muppet ref still fell for it.
You patronising *******! What a shocking post. We got beaten because we went down to ten men with 80 minutes to go. We'll see how it goes at our place in the return game.
