Not seen this on here - ref howler, Partick Thistle

    It also happened in a cup replay at Leicester, 1968 I think. Andy Lochhead I believe it was, blasted a shot against the stanchion. I think Ironside was in goal, the shot was so hard he was only turning to react as the ball rebounded into his arms.

    Tinribs looking up, saw the ref looking the other way so he booted the ball back into play. I have in the back of my mind that the ref was Jack Taylor.

    Anyone else remember that one? Or have I been dreaming for 50 years?

    Yes, I was there right behind the goal with three of my mates. We all saw it and couldn't believe it. The others are all gone now, so I have to rely on my own memory of it and sometimes I think I must have imagined it. I'm glad somebody else can corroborate this as you wonder whether you are slipping into the twilight zone of dementia. Must have been in the 1970s?
