Forget the car Paul. (I know how to drive and fill it. bugger owt else) What/who were the highlights. I've never heard of the vast majority of acts. Although I gave Yungblud (punk band from donny ) a coit of looking at. (He must be a mate of Here's Johnny frontman lol)
Looked him up. If you like Bowie's 'life on Mars.' Check out his cover. Sensational.

That's because their Mummy's weren't there to clear up after them.

I stayed here this weekend (and last time)
    https://www.ziggucamping.co.uk/

which is nice, has nice showers, bar, food, spa and beauty place (obviously needed to do my hair every day) and even a hot tub bus, not that we used it. There's a shuttle to the bronze gate, where the buses and taxi's go from. It's a bit of a walk in though is the main downside.

Think next year we will try and go to LoveFields
(https://www.thelovefields.com) and hire a motorhome to be a bit closer. This is opposite pedestrian gate C which is right near the Theatre and Circus fields and close to the pyramid.

Sayed here quite a few times in the past which is also good. https://www.windinglake.co.uk/ but it started getting quite pricy. You can buy backstage hospitality tickets though from there if you want to hang with the celebs and influencers but more importantly have access to nice toilets. :D It's near love fields and you can walk to pedestrian gate B or get their shuttle to pedestrian gate C. It's where a lot of the acts get choppered in and out from so there are lots of music and celeb types that stay there. Remember seeing Rooney, John Bishop and Toby McGuire there previously and quite a few of the acts. Got the bus back with James Corden one night at 3 in the morning.

Showers ? I went 7 days with only a few slaps with wipes and the odd flannel wipe didn’t really care if I was minging and greasy with sun tan cream.
Saw Gally & Hicksy think Supergrass were or had been on

I hitch-hiked from University of Warwick with a fellow (female, best chance of getting a lift) student to Worthy Farm for the second-ever Glastonbury in 1971. Think it was the first ever solstice one as the first ever Glastonbury happened in September, if I remember correctly. It's fair to say the conditions were a little "primitive". Got knocked down by a van driving down the lane to the festival entrance: not full on but so close he clipped the frame of my rucksack, tearing the leather strap and leaving me on my back at the side of the road. Think the guy was drugged up as I was actually walking on the grass banking.
Main purpose of this response is in relation to cars. Somewhere north of Bristol on the hitch down, a guy gave us a lift in an oldish red Jag, lovely looking vehicle. Problem is, about 30 minutes into the lift, I pointed out to him that flames were licking up from around the accelerator pedal (I sat in the passenger seat, Jean was in the back). He was taken aback (a bit!) and pulled over. Jean and I got out of the car and, in true student fashion, started thumbing again. We soon got a lift in a lorry leaving the poor bugger with dense smoke coming out of his lovely looking car :D:D:eek:

Out of interest. What does it cost to charge at one of these points? Also have you seen similar price rises like with petrol etc?
