    Yeah I’d agree. Although it looks better at Gateshead for him. We will have to wait and see who gets the job and if they can get us organised at the back and on set pieces.

    I like Stead. The strikers seem confident under his coaching, i hope he stays. As for Duff, he'll have a lot of explaining to do, and he'll have a much weaker squad than last year

    Duff could turn Lopata and Shepherd into Kitching and Mads Anderson. Some managers have it. Some don't. I like Nathan Jones, Grant Mccann and Darren Ferguson for that same reason.

    Agreed. Still not convinced he will be coming back but would definitely welcome it.

    Duff pros and cons aren't there. He knows the club and the playing staff that will be left and no matter what you think of him he had a positive influence on the club. His big selling point of loyalty is shot to pieces and he would return on the back of failure pays ya money and takes ya chance.

    Tbh I don't think many do blame him for taking a bigger job. It's the 'here for the long haul' stuff and denying interest from other Clubs, which he then admitted to when he left. To many people that's just disingenuous. I personally wouldn't want him back, and I certainly wouldn't be buying into his spiel if he did. He lost my trust and would have to earn it back. I'd be amazed if the Club were even entertaining it either - but then again I also thought it was impossible that they would sack the manager 1 game before the play-offs.

    It's all over Facebook,unveiling him tomorrow.
    Just for my two penneth I don't know how old some posters are on here but they need to grow up.I've said it before 99% of managers aren't local,it's a job to them and it's business .I get the long haul stuff and that's unfortunate,probably wish he hadn't said that but we all have said things we sometimes regret later.
    On to the next person to manage this team going forward he has to be by a country mile the best option for us.If he agrees maybe we need to put a far higher release clause in his contract.
