I think the major point here is the right wingers have managed to somehow only compare there mans crime with something that is legally unconnected and obviously has no comparison. Why not find an example of another man having a piss, he might have been white too and not be involved with a BLM rally. Or is it the BLM rally our legal guardians are suddenly concerned about. the what about ery is strong.
Why can't people on here have sensible arguments without resorting to the " you must be a left wing lunatic/right wing fascist for disagreeing with me". Really no need.
I used to live in Bristol and I think I may have once pissed by the side of Colstan’s statue. The people of Bristol have been trying to get Colstan’s memorials removed for over 40 years at least. I remember a march to support that cause in 1979.
I'm not sure if you're referring to me but I haven't said anything to suggest that the two issues are the same. I've actually said that this is exactly what happens when one side see's something they consider to be disproportionate (which I think it was) and then see the other side treated leniently. For the record I don't think that statue man should have been given a custodial sentence, likewise I don't think that the pi55ing idiot should have been given one either. I must also say that the pi55ing man is not my man, I don't know him but I would wager that he doesn't share any of my values or ideologies. I see him as a pi55ed up thug who went to London with to cause trouble and used the 'defending statues' excuse as a smokescreen for his true intentions.
I wasn’t aiming at you no, why is there sides? the two things weren’t related or even comparable. There will be many like you who see no sense in defending him or agree with why he was there, it’s a strange fight to be involved in however the ones who seek to justify, compare or defend.
I thought so but just wanted to be sure. When you said 'the right wingers' I wanted to highlight I am frequently referred to as a BBS right winger but my argument was in no way framed to take the side of the pi55ing warrior.
I make no apology for being someone who believed protesters removing the statue should have been charged with Criminal damage but I would also add I wouldn’t expect a prison sentence as a result of that one action*. I would also add I think getting a 2 week sentence for urinating is also very harsh, given most of the time it is a fixed penalty*. * Disclaimer in that I know nothing about either cases relevant history or defence offered.
That's the bunny - the one that Mr Thought Police pompey-red Parson had said no one had referred to which I referred to earlier. But of course, I'd be committing whataboutery - the new thought crime for pointing out libernazi hypocrisy
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.th...n-of-urinating-on-memorial-to-pc-keith-palmer Fine him for pissing in the street https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-england-bristol-53258535 Fine him for criminal damage. Charge them both for breaching lockdown restrictions, what's so difficult?
Just out of interest, but has the relevant law changed in the last 11 years under the rule of the party of law & order*? *They don't obey the law and expect you to obey their orders.
and you called people snowflakes. Stay offended why not and keep looking to justify your position, I don’t even know what a statue in Bristol has to do with your very vague point anyhow. well done you though. Alanis might be along in a bit.
Should we tear down Cannon Hall and applaud as they do? Rip up the park and level the village? All that was paid for by the slave trade. I don't like racism. What you have said has absolutely nothing to do with one's opinion on bigotry.
