For a start, Hassell is 5ft 10, and I don't care how tall a player is if he can jump. We've had sixfooters who couldn't jump and shorter players, like Scott Jones who could. Hassell for Centre Back for me. Kay in midfield instead of Burns.

 

Once this season is over...

At the end of this season, I'm thinking that all the defenders/goalkeepers signed by Hart will no longer have a contract, is that right?

I wonder how many of them will be offered new terms?

Well..

Me dad's 5'10"and was taller than him at Alfreton...fine if he can jump,but a big centre forrad will get the beating of him and once the weakness is exposed...other teams will try and do the same

 

I'm just thinking that...

at the end of this season I think there will be a complete team rebuild again. Shuker, Mcphail, Burns, Colgan, Carbon, Hassell , Vaughan, Reid and probably some others will all be out of contract (I think).

We probably only want to keep Shuker out of all that lot! So there is a light at the end of the tunnel - so long as we manage to stay in this division...

should/will be moved out. Perhaps Reid excepted

Shuker has it all to prove. I get the feeling that he thinks he's the big I am at Oakwell and he can do owt and be worshipped...been poor so far this season...pre-season included...and apparently has thrown the dummy over being dropped on satdi

 

my advice

take a sabbatical. Put the mortgage on hold, travel the world, forget about BFC. Sell your season ticket. Get a job in a bar in Australia. Come back next summer, when all these awful players will be shown the door. There will be a new dawn.
