Accounts like that only have big followings because they all pick up on the same rumours and amplify them. Do you think they'e out there doing independent journalism?
I concur. No place for him. Even without the discipline issue we have Yoganathan and Bland then there's Russell who can't get a game. Squad needed trimming. This might be a blessing.
"on Nigerian international Nwakali and whether he remains part of the club, but is currently not involved, [Hourihane] added: "That's exactly it, yes." "On whether he is looking to move him on, Hourihane confirmed: "That would be the plan for all parties and the best scenario. But in terms of 'fired', it's completely wide of the mark and first I've heard of it." https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...-on-patrick-kelly-and-kelechi-nwakali-5279965
Sacked sounds like a much better outcome to be honest. We're paying a footballer not to play football. Consciously and deliberately stopping him playing. How on earth does that do anyone any good? Sacking him would have a lot more integrity to it.
His agent has said they might sue the Nigerian press for slander.According to him theres no problem at Barnsley but he wants to go out on loan for some game time.
The Nigerian press keep using the phrase sacked in the headlines but then go on to say exactly what Conor has said so it seems either they are very sensationalist or their definition of sacked is different
Rumour i've heard t'day, he ''punched'' someone, IS THIS TRUE, Punched a player in a u21 game against Birmingham, 5th Nov 24, was this the incident refered to.
" KELECHI Nwakali was sent off in Barnsley under 21s’ 2-2 draw at home to Birmingham City on Tuesday. Josiah Dyer and Connor Barratt put the Reds in front twice but the visitors levelled each time. Ziggy Kozluk, Tom Senior and Barry Cotter all came off injured in the first half then Nwakali was sent off after an altercation late on. That is the only English source i can find about it, it was reported to be a punch by Nigerian media https://www.barnsleychronicle.com/article/30050/oakwell-round-up-red-card-new-loans-and-cup-draw?
I wouldn't believe the Nigerian press if they, are anything like that Nigerian Bank clerk The one who's found millions stashed way after the death of a distant relative, who shares my name He's adamant we can get away with it and wants to use my bank account to clear monies we can then share. That said both might be telling the truth and I've got it wrong
Kelechi Nwakali️-------I'm shōcked and saddêned that I'm the only one of the 7 players who returned late to Bãrnsley to have my contrãct termìnated with immêdiate effect. It feels unfãir and discrimìnatory, as the others were welcomed back without similar consêquence's. This experience has left a soūr taste, and I believe my Ãfricãn herìtage may have played a role in the decision. It's dishêartening to feel treatêd diffêrently."
Did he actually say that? Because I'm pretty sure he's not the only BFC player in the squad with African heritage!
I'm not disputing where it's from and I fully believe that you posted it in good faith. However, the claim is his contract was terminated with immediate effect. We know that's not true, unless Conor was lying this week. As such, I don't think it's from him.
