As many on here know, they’re my band. The fact most folk can’t stand them is perfect.

I love all sorts of music though. Through every genre I can find summat I enjoy. From Slipknot to S:Club 7. Vanilla Ice to Leonard Cohen. Sinatra to Babylon Zoo.

But blink were the first band I became really into (1996) as a teenage lad. And I grew up with them. I know they’re past their peak years, and it’s the old stuff I love the most, but for them to be 25 years and still going strong, it’s commendable considering the labels they’ve been stuck with and the departure of Tom DeLonge.

Rock n Roll hall of famers no doubt in the next few years. Last album number one across the world and Grammy nominated. Not bad for a crappy punk rock band from San Diego.

Foo Fighters put a lot of effort into having fun videos to distract from the fact that they were releasing pretty much the same song over and over again ;-)

    Roots is a terrible album.

As for Soulfy. I saw max Cavalera wearing a Kappa tracksuit and that was the day he stopped being relevant to me.

It was a shame when he left, but something had to give, and he now focusses all his time on his oil filled radiator and coffee machine business

That would be more acceptable than the actual story. Bloke has lost his marbles.

Knowing Conan’s taste in music, I wouldn’t expect blink to be his cuppa. He once posted one of his favourite songs on here and it certainly fitted his bbs persona of doom, gloom and anger.

Maybe that’s why I love blink. They are pretty much my personality through music. Childish.

Blink 182 a punk rock band?

    ABBA were pioneers of Grunge...

Once saw Bjorn Again cover Smells Like Teen Spirit at Reading Festival. Abba meets Nirvana :)

As the tagline says “Crappy Punk Rock Since 1992”.

ABBA were great too. Grunge was decent for a time. I love Nirvana. But I’ve to be in a certain mood to listen to either of those bands. I can listen to blink whenever. That’s why I love em.
