    First one I bought was second hand from a kid at school, Bolan Boogie T.Rex closely followed, (27th Dec 1972) by my first LP bought from a record shop which was Moods by Neil Diamond...and I too still play both to this day....although cd versions now

    First proper album I was bought (if you ignore my 1978 "Father Abraham in Smurfland" at Christmas, aged 4) was Paul Simon's Graceland. I think the first I bought myself was U2's Joshua Tree.
