I honestly don't know why any of the big acts use Ticketmaster/Seetickets to sell their tickets. It's the same sh1tshow everytime there's a big event. Glastonbury etc. You would have thought they would have a big enough server by now to handle large scale traffic. It's an appalling customer experience. I use Seetickets to sell tickets and it works amazingly well but I'm selling 1k tickets over 6 months for an event not 1.4m in a day.
I’m going to tell Winnie I private message. & allow him to edit & tell you lot.. It’s very bad. The worst of worst..
I guess that there's just nobody else out there with even their capacity, limited as it turns out to be? Maybe just a straight ballot would be option instead, by spreading the number of people who can access the site over a few days. Can't quite get my head around what the drawbacks would be, but I'm sure there would be plenty!
Times have changed. I think I paid £27.50 to see them at Lancashire County Cricket Club (they refused to have Old Trafford mentioned) with Richard Ashcroft as main support.
In a weird way I’m glad I didn’t get tickets. Especially when they have been happy to make “fans” pay demand pricing etc.
Absolutely disgraceful. I queued for four hours, with a budget of about 600ish quid, to buy four tickets. Got binned off. Wife persevered as we had ‘promised’ our (grown up) kids we would do our best. £738 for two standing tickets!!! ‘In demand’ tickets??!!! Every ticket, every last one, was in demand. So why can them hoodlums, Ticketmaster, choose to more than double the price because the in demand tickets are in demand?? Glad my kids have got tickets but I feel like I have been pickpocketed by Ticketmaster.
This all sounds horrific. I've been involved in trying to help someone get Glastonbury tickets in the past and it was one of the most stressful experiences of my life. My sympathies to those who were unlucky (for which read screwed by an unfair system). I'm just thankful that most of the bands I like aren't anything like that popular - I'm off to see Robyn Hitchcock on Friday in a pub.
A disrespectful spoiled arsehole. To musicians far better than him. Message Terry Nutkins & tell him it’s ok to share.
We did this. For a Rolling Stones tribute. Alan MCGee played it to Oasis & told them to copy our beats & guitar tones? they obviously fcking did.? A rare but beautiful song . B side of Jumping Jack Flash.. we did it a bit different.. Have that..
Absolutely shameful. Legalised ticket touting, it’s as simple as that. And the Music Venue Trust won’t see a single penny of it.
Family were trying for 6 hours yesterday and when they eventually got through it was £355 per ticket- nah, you’re alright.
