I liked Oasis growing up, but I was never a massive fan, and thought they were overplayed around the time they split.

I saw Liam live at Leeds Fest in 2017 though and he was exceptional. Surprised me how good he was.

Brilliant first two albums along with all the B Sides, saw them live a couple of times around that time.

If they do get back together they need the original band, with whitey on the drums.

Yeah he's really got it back the last few years - but then I'd drink his bathwater so I'm probably not a fair and impartial observer.

Tony McCarroll was the original drummer.

I'd sell my house to see the full dozen or so members interchange depending on what song was played.

Great band seen em loads. Would probably go again if they reformed. But prob struggle to get tickets with an all new generation of folk desperate to see them. My kids and their always listen to em.

Wonderwall - one of the best songs of all time - I’d go see them - but they’re no Joy Division

I get the feeling that if they re formed it'd be a bit like watching an oasis tribute act.

Soundtrack of my childhood. Definitely Maybe was the first Album that I probably ever became obsessed with.
Had it in my Walkman for ages, obviously we look back with nostalgia and when you break it down they are just a band.
But I'd pay to go and see the boys together on stage.

Lucky enough to be there at

    1st night maine Road 96
    1st night Knebworth 96
    Earls Court 97

Amazing times, Liam hasn't the greatest of voices but so what hands down easily the best front man of any band I've seen

They were due to support REM at Huddersfield in 95 but one of them had a bike accident and couldn't perform so they pulled out - gutted! We got Beautiful South who were great: :)

Not much chance of that, they hate McCarroll.

Who would you say that they have influenced given that they were a very derivative band themselves?

My favorite band of all time, I'd be desperate to get a ticket, never had the chance to see them live before as they split before I was really old enough to start going to gigs.

My dad was fortunate enough to see them once before they split, I'd love to get tickets for me and my dad to go together.

Arctic monkeys reference them for starters in terms of why they wanted to pick up an instrument and start a band.

Huge numbers of 14 to 21 year olds circa 94 to 97

My all time favourite too. Much prefer Liam as a solo act than Noel. Probably as his songs sound more Oasis, whilst Noel sings middle of the road radio friendly songs like Coldplay do.

There's the obvious connection with the Beatles, but I always thought there was a bit of the Phil Spector wall of sound thing in their early stuff.

As much as I dislike oasis, high flying birds, beady eyes etc I did enjoy the Robert smith mix of Noel's Pretty Boy, i think that was largely because he turned it into a far better song.
