Could'nt agree with you more. KO can't hide because Macken has all the good hiding spots stitched up, therefore he's got to go into the box whether he wants to or not.

"more problems in 10 minutes then Hume and Macken did for 80 minutes"

Where? Cos I must have missed it.

I'd love him to "come good". But the sad fact is he won't, he has no potential, even the lad himself knows he's not good enough for this level.

So basically what you are saying is that Odejayi is a fantastic player and the other 9 outfield players are crap, because they cant understand his ability and dont anticipate where he is going to head the ball to, despite the fact he has no idea himself. Have I got that right?

    I'm at an absolute loss

As to why people champion inferior players who, if picked on a regular basis, will undoubtedly see us relegated. I'm utterly perplexed.

    I'm not championing him

I'm simply saying that of the players we have up front he gives us something completely different and when he does play he brings something different to the team. That doesn't mean he should start or is good enough at this level. My point is i think there are other players who also aren't good enough at this level and don't put in the effort KO does but don't get anything like the abuse he gets. Perhpas he stands out more because if you miss a chance it is glaringly obvious.

Its only an opinion but I would rather a player get in to a goal scoring position and miss than never get in to one bacuase the miss my create another chance for someone else or a corner, and if one chance goes in there may be a run of goals. Not saying I'd start him but he created two good chances on saturday

    4. Can see that other strikers are doing no better but get away with it by not being in the positions Odejayi gets into.

    5.

He is by far and away the worst Striker in this league. 4 goals in 50 games is piss poor.
But every man is entitled to their opinion, no matter how bizarre it is.

SM - was that aimed at me? If so ................

...... you are bang out of order, so stop hiding behind vague, loosely connected comments to my threads and speak up like a man.

It wouldn't matter how many pints I'd had, a drunken blind man can see that KO is not good enough for the championship, either as a starter or as an 'impact sub', which was the point of this thread.

Perhaps if you had seen as many Barnsley games as me over the last 35+ years (with or without a pint), you would know the difference between a decent striker at this level and a cart-horse.

It was aimed at a section of our fans

albeit loyal in terms of attendance, associate going to watch Barnsley with getting so pssd up that the game becomes a side issue, but take every available opportunity to hurl abuse, some of which is openly racist, at ODJ in particularly, to gain some sense of satisfaction and group status. That same group belonging is now becoming prevailent on this board. There's no longer any evidence presented in football terms, its just a fashionable opinion to have. Thats my interpretation of whats happening anyway.
