I have seen almost every game he has played in and i think have seen it once at oldham away. He has absolutely no conviction and no i havent been taken in by the 'wanting to move south' talk cos i couldnt care less. Even if he did want to play for the club he isnt good enough. More concerned with his hair than his performances.

There are sides two divisions below us that do more impressive things with their marketing. We're in the stone age. I'd love to sign and play for Barnsley - but that's because I'm a fan. Anyone else must look at us and think 'f@ckin' ell, times are hard there, don't fancy that much'.

People are pretty quick to forget, in the euphoria of the whole event..

that Paul Hayes was outstanding in the playoff final that got us into this league. Passion, drive, a goal, a penalty, and in extra time, was the man who kept digging us out of trouble and giving the defence a rest.</p>

Yes, often he flattered to deceive, but he had far more than &quot;1 good game&quot;.</p>

People criticised me for not seeing his faults - I do see his faults. He doesn't seem to quite have the right mindset and drive to make the most of his talent and he was crap in the air. Its ******** when people say he didn't work hard - working hard isn't represented by how many headers you challenge for. He definitely had weaknesses.</p>

But for his weaknesses, I still think he has what nobodyelse (and I include Howard in that) has got at our club - the ability to deliver a killer final ball. His performance in the Playoff final was outstanding, and he never really got the individual praise he deserved for it.</p>
