Anyone with an ounce of knowledge about football

will know a great prospect when they see it. he's got all the physical attributes required, he's keen and willing to learn, shows signs of improvement already, his close control and aerial ability have come on leaps, when players like Devaney and McCann are saying he'll play Premiership football one day, people should take note.

course, he's an easy target. Forget everything I've said, lets start a Kayodewatch, where's TMFDM?

Can anyone think of a worse striker - one that we have actually paid money for?

Okay, so he wasn't (or wouldn't have been) a striker but Phil Gridlet takes some beating for having been a waste of money.

It was always going to be a massive step up for the lad but nearly all his goals for Cheltenham was him running with the ball,he wasnt known for being good in the air Davey is not playing to his strengths but he needs a bit more desire than he showed at Hull maybe hes sick of being asked to play the Ferenczi role.

Just trying to have a debate about a Barnsley player thats all, good luck to the lad i hope he proves everybody who went to Hull wrong, different tactics from Davey would help his game.

Not as safe as being a majority of one though.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

He's 25 mate. 26 in 4 months. At what point does 'potential' become 'not good enough'?

I've seen glimpses of raw talent and power, but at his age he should be already be harnessing it. Hope the lad goes on to make a huge impact, but at the moment, he's not. I put aftershave on harder than he tackles. He should be making defenders' lives a misery.

    Raw materials cant be coached

he'll get mean and aggressive, that'll come, he's positional sense will improve, and lets not forget, he's stepped up from League 2 to Championship, where defenders arent just ugly but have generally seen it all. he'll get better as the season goes on, absolutely no doubt about it. I can see him being a real star.

Mostto however concerns me. I think he's got to work much much harder to influence the game, its not good just standing there looking forlorn cos he's not getting slotted one on one with the keeper, or enough time to turn on the ball and pick out a comfortable pass, he needs to get in amongst the action, but Im not sure he's got enough desire. Also, he's missed chances and half chances that his reputation seemed to say he'd finish.

Odejayi and Ferenzci is our best partnership, by miles.

    Davey ought to ....................

tie a rope round his and Kayode's waist during training-about 5-6 yards long-Mossto might eventually get the hang of being there for the knock downs-oh and tell him he doesn't need to bolster the midfield-we're Spackmanned with midfielders as it is
