Official club statement about Stendel

The only major class and honesty(ill add integrity) missing is from the board. Who are taking us ALL for a ride.

 

Respect your views Fitzy, but :-
Maybe not shocking if allowed to talk to interested parties. ( Johnson quite clearly stating the Bristol city job was his dream. The club he supported and his home city) As far as I can gather at no stage was Stendel allowed to talk to other clubs without permission. Touting around is a scourge. Doesn't make it right. Other clubs have made their displeasure clear when this happens but when a player/ manager have their heads turned your knackered. Be interested in the pinnock saga. Talking to his backroom staff ( who may or may not have welcomed the discussion) Into a possible move makes the matter worse.

 

Not taking us all for a ride. Just your opinion. All those in the know so to speak are refusing to divulge their evidence of what's been done to change everyone's mind. Worse than the lack of communication from the club. Put up or shut up.

 

Sorry, haven't read the whole thread but a couple of things still occur to me:-

1) The root cause of all of this is still that Daniel's promotion squad was dismantled and replaced with bairns/nobody at the same time as him not being given any contractual extension;

2) If the tapping up by the other club was going on then why have we not named and reported them to the EFL - after all it seems we like a good legal ding-dong in public?

3) What are the 'numerous other issues'? - Put up or shut up on these as far as I'm concerned.

 

I'll be at Tynecastle on Saturday. Two sides to every story, based on the goings on at Nice and the 'best ever transfer window' you choose to believe the version of events from Barnsley's board.

I aim to retain a financial interest in Barnsley's future.

 

Whatever our views, it's gone, done! I don't feel any worse towards Stendel, given the circumstances, and if Conway said it was raining, I'd have to check.

The current circumstances at Oakwell aren't great, and all this does is try to deflect scrutiny from the current owners, who are making a tow of things.

Conways comments about this season's failings being down to the squad being too big, beggar belief.

He talks well about business, but knows nowt about football at any level, and that concerns me more than what any individual from the management team is alleged to have done.

 

Yep your right ....my opinion.
I do feel (imho) that this board have made some mistakes of biblical proportions and to the detriment of the playing side of the club.
If someone can actually defend them and say we are in a better position than before they arrived, i would be exremely intersted in how.
I simply dont trust them hooky and the Nice model frightens the hell out of me.

 

To be honest I've only read the statement put out by the club. So cannot put the beggars belief statement into context. Have you a link to it. Hopefully it means they've realised the mistake of putting quantity in place of a bit more quality. If so, not a bad sign. Going forward.

Stendel love in my arse Conway opens his gob and he`s stealing my air and has been doing from day one.

 

That's what Dane said at the meeting you and I attended, yet from this statement it doesn't appear anything has moved forward which begs the question how have the legal ramifications changed? The reason given here for the silence is respect for the achievement of Stendel and his team last season.

 

Mario read Stendels statement when he joined us.The statement about the plan and how clubs need to have a plan.Its there in black and white about growing and developing players and developing the club.
Stendel was aware of our policy Struber I'm sure is aware of the policy. No one is happy with our current predicament but because the plan isn't working at the moment I can't withdraw my support.

 

So a load of codswallop from the board then?

I don't know but the sole reason given for the 21 word statement and subsequent silence was legal reasons. Things haven't changed yet these legal reasons no longer appear to apply and another entirely different reason has been given which was not mentioned at the meeting. I guess people will make their own mind up.

We know the headlines but we don't know the fine details, we don't know what was promised upon promotion. I don't know if there is more to it but it certainly feels like something happened to pi55 Daniel off enough to breach contract after the highs of last season.

I'm not withdrawing my support either but I don't think the statement released is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
