After two games, only nine of 24 teams remain unbeaten, and only two have a 100% record. Fifteen teams have lost already - but only three lost both. Teams will lose games at this level. All of them. We were poor today, especially second half. We need to learn to defend at this level and to take our chances. But have some perspective. We’ve lost at Hillsborough. What did you expect?
This is truly disgraceful! I myself am diabetic & know the need to have access to a sugary drink when needed. I hope your boy is ok! The stewards are fools to not take this seriously
He's ok thanks mate. We had to leave the ground just before the 2nd goal to go to the spar on leppings lane to get a drink as he was feeling unwell but he's feeling better now. Nothing to do with bfc but needs to be looked at by the stewards there before they have a lawsuit on their hands
Fortunately I was out today and just got back home and read this thread. We lost at the Sty - would you believe that eh - I dont bet on football but if I did us losing at Wednesday (and QPR) are things you can safely put your house on. If we gift them a goal after 2 minutes it was hard to see us ever getting back - though the save against Woodrow is one he wouldnt make 99 times out of 100. I am disappointed but really not at all surprised. Looking on the bright side we have at least 2 more points than I could have hoped for at this stage and realistically 3 more than I expected so no need to get depressed yet. Be interested to see how we do next week against Carlton - A club I think is in the same mini league as we are so a much better game to judge us by - though their season has got off to a great start with 2 wins.
Bugger, bugger and thrice bugger! We were beaten by the better side today, though, as opposed to some of the flukey home victories we've all seen there in the past. Back to earth with a bump. Three out of the next four at home gives us the opportunity to learn our lessons from today, go again and progress in the cup. If I didn't start dreaming of promotion after last Saturday's performance and victory, then I'm not going to fall into a pit of despair after today's loss and display.
Wednesday looked much better than I expected. Felt like nothing would stick in midfield, and that's where we lost the game. We really need to sort out what we're doing at the back double quick though - we'll get repeatedly punished for that once teams cotton on.
Made some good saves. Dallied a bit and put himself under pressure. But I wouldn’t say replace him lol
Radlinger also made 2 excellent one-on-one saves. He just needs to remember to just get rid and hoof it somewhere beyond half way. We can’t always build attacks from the back...
Just watched it from Canada. It went blank for their second goal so can't comment on that. I thought we were competitive throughout the match. I don't think that we were beaten by a better team. We were beaten by better players with home advantage. We were wide open down our right side quite often during the first half - not sure why. We matched them physically and tactically throughout but lacked the quality that forking out a load of brass brings. No way were we besieged and looking bereft of hope, like sometimes we did away from home even last season. I reckon that Woodrow needs to pull his socks up. Thomas and McGeehan may find that effort is not enough in this league. Overall, not disappointed beyond the result.
