Personally I think they are getting to the point where parents will have to think twice before purchasing, especially if they have a couple of kids in the 14 - 19 bracket as well as their own season ticket to pay for.
It would have been nice for them to have been no increase on last years prices.

 

I think the empty seats is more of a problem at the night games than the Saturdays. They ought to be some system where you can let the club know if seats aren't being used so they can sell them, especially when they were a tenner.

There are swathes of seats in the East that yoi can't buy a ticket for but that are empty on matchdays. It must be the cheap kids thing.

 

Agreed. But if you were going to purchase an 'extra' seat for yourself at £10 you still would at £29! I wonder if the club have ever done any checks if the 'kids' actually exist?

I've always bought my kids seats on the off chance they want to come or if they have to come, as I would need them sat with me.

 

An increase in cost but given everything has increased in cost, I can understand it.

 

On the subject of all the above potential improvements could the supporters trust work with the club to identify the cost of something specific and work with them to raise money for it? I feel if fans have a specific target in place that they'll surprise you and raise the money.

Checking my statement, I paid £374 for ESL last year. It will be £399 if I renew on time this year.
£17.34 a match. Yes, I have to add fuel and a couple of pints but I don't think that is too shabby for a couple of hours of me-time.

What's Wendies equivalent of our ESL? Close to £600?

I've loved following the club, mostly. Of course there has always been summat to have a moan at - it wouldn't be BFC otherwise - but one consistent in my 45+ years of going has been fair pricing.

I own up to that, if there is nobody next to me. Spreads the cheek load and prolongs the life of two seats. Win win

 

£29 for U14s,thats £1 25p a game and people are moaning.Its cheaper than 40yrs ago.

No mention of the continuation of the 60+ category being treated as OAP discount, if they had continuous years as ST holder before, ( forget the date now) Anyways Beth used to sort those issues out, hope they have someone whose half as capable.

Senior Season Tickets are available to all persons aged 65 years or over on Tuesday 1st August 2023. The Senior age category is set at over 65. Existing/longstanding season ticket holders who have had no lapse in membership since the upper age limit changed in 2009 will continue to qualify at 60.

It's down to the fans to apply. As I dont think there is a mechanism in place to identify and notify folk.

Game by game the increase is £1.26. Or about 1/4 of a pint. Not unreasonable.

 

It really is sad that they've decided to squeeze more out of young families and the next generation of supporters. They should extend the discount to u16s, and combine the U21 and u19 to a single price point of say £150. It might get more young folk in and improve the atmosphere. They could then increase the price on the 65+ tickets to make back some money.
