Thought the same. At least it shows professionalism.

Id have much preferred a one word statement after the title.

    Sithi

    Would have worked well

    Thank god!

The kid clearly had talent, but he ought to be ashamed of his lack of desire, heart of a pea! Good riddance!

Thank him for his contributions and efforts in a Barnsley shirt? There wasn't much of that. Just like his fellow waster and compatriot Oulare.

Classy media post. No need to be nasty. It's looking like a freebie and we've probably paid him something to leave.

Alternative point of view. His refusal to work and put any effort in meant that we were paying large sums of money that could have gone elsewhere and he was harming the club we love massively due to taking the piss out of us.

Had he applied himself with his undoubted ability perhaps we would be in the championship right now. Perhaps our finances would be significantly better off and we could be getting a new west stand. Maybe our media team would have had the budget for extra members of staff etc etc

As it is he took the piss, stole a wage and deserves nothing but a big **** off

Be surprised if he wasn’t on a contract which paid him a massive appearance fee on top of his wage, and his agent then probably paid a slice of that straight to Paul Conway.

I guess we’ll see where his career goes from here.

I wonder how much or if we have paid him to get him off the books. I'd be very surprised if he hasn't at least halved his wages to join em.
    Edit
Surprised to read the top paid player is on £6k pw apparently. Average around £3/4k.pw.

Was told by Khaled getting them both off the wage bill would save 1million+ a year out of our budget so that would seem about right. What’s that, quarter of our first team league one playing budget? Also, it’s Incredible we signed these guys, especially considering the opposition from those who provide input into the decision-making process.

That’s barmy. I’d heard in the 7k region each but then kind of wages makes them out top earners maybe ever? I don’t know what we were paying in the premier league days but I don’t think we’ve paid above 10k a week through Cryne’s time in charge.

I think Mike Sheron was our highest ever paid player. Around that time was stated at 10k pw . Just before PC took control. And I'm not sure if any player has been paid equal or more than that since. Oulare reputedly around that amount. Iseka reputedly around £8k.

I'm fairly certain they were paid 10k/week each. You have to wonder why Conway was so hell-bent on signing them on such high wages with the backdrop of our playing budget and the input he was given to make those decisions.

Jesus. That's basically more than half of the John Stones money completely spunked away on nothing. Might as well have distributed it among local charities.

Supposedly we were paying 10k of Garry O’Connor’s wages when we had him on loan
